The possibilities of the Japanese Paper Washi

Because Japanese paper is very thin but strong, with a beautiful and smooth gloss(compared to the wood pulp of the usual paper) due to the used materials with long fiber, it began being used in various applications all over the world, in addition to the conventional usage in Japan:

  • As for repairing applications such as crafts, works or parts of art or musical instruments
  • As a building material that makes use of the property as a material that combines moisture absorption effect and space rendering
  • As stationery for calligraphy or printing
  • As a raw material of accessories

Also, some people use the Japanese paper itself, enjoying the texture and warmth of the living feeling inside it.
